ABOUT US

Dilmar Oil Company, Inc. was founded in 1932 by R. E. Atkinson and M. H. Cox (both of Latta) to sell Shell products. The Company name is a contraction of the names of the two counties -- Dillon and Marion -- in which the Company originally operated.

In 1946 the Company was divided with the Atkinson family becoming the sole owners of Dilmar Oil Company, Inc. in Latta and the Cox family becoming the sole owners of Santee Oil Company in Kingstree.

Our company is diversified but is primarily engaged in the distribution and reclamation of petroleum products. With corporate headquarters in Florence, SC, we have distribution centers in Columbia, SC, N. Charleston, SC, Latta, SC, Charlotte, NC, Wilmington, NC, and Atlanta, GA.
